As one of our projects, we made rocket engines to test to see which ones we should use for the final rockets we made. To test them, we calculated the thrust and then the thrust curve. Using all of the information and assuming the rocket will weigh 200 grams (0.2 kg), we estimated how high each rocket will go while using that engine. My rocket engine didn't produce any lift because the weight was greater than the thrust. I used the information from a classmate's rocket to figure out how high their rocket will go. By doing this, I learned a lot about rockets and how to do the calculations to estimate things before the rocket even launches. I discovered a love for math while doing this. I thought it was so cool that their are equations out their to plug information into and you get an output.
