This project had multiple steps to get to the final product. From the sci-fi story we wrote in humanities, we took a section of it and turned it into a comic book. The process was first drawing out how we thought it would go, very briefly to get a feel for it. Then we wrote out a script for the panels, including speech, description of the drawing, and any sound. We did another draft of drawings including those things, then got critique. We fixed what was necessary and then it was time to create our final product. Some people chose the drawing route, some people chose the photoshop route, and some chose a mix of both. I chose the mix. First I traced/drew my 20 panels, then I scanned it into photoshop to retrace and color.
The process was very time-consuming but it taught me a lot about who I am as a student. I preserved, putting forward my definition of quality work, using all the time I was given. My determination and time-management skills were really tested during this project, but I was able to prove myself to not only the teachers, but also myself. Of course I also learned skills such as how to use certain tools on photoshop, and how to scan paper onto the computer, but the most important thing I have gained from this is my ability to preservere.
